DMX began rapping in the late 1990s. He released his debut It's Hot in the year 1998 and Hell was Dark the 19th of May, 1998. DMX released other albums including... and There Was X as well as the Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album was released in 2001. titled... And Then There was X was awarded a Grammy nomination in the category Best Rap Album. The singer has appeared in movies such as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five, Exit Wounds The Bleeding Romeo to die Backstage beyond the Law Lockjaw and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
